The horse racing week ahead - Treasure Time update

The week ahead in the world of horse racing is somewhat overshadowed with Royal Ascot the following week. On Wednesday we will get the confirmations for the Queen Anne, King Charles III Stakes and St James’s Palace on the opening day of the Royal meeting, plus entries for the remaining day one races, including the Coventry Stakes. Thursday sees  Royal Ascot's day two card confirmations for the Prince of Wales's Stakes, Duke of Cambridge Stakes and Royal Hunt Cup. Entries for the undercard, including the Queen Mary and Queen's Vase, will also be announced. The next set of Royal Ascot confirmations and entries for day three, including the feature Gold Cup, will be revealed at lunchtime on Friday. Over the weekend the Royal Ascot picture becomes clearer still with the confirmations for the Coronation Stakes and Commonwealth Cup as well as entries for the other five races on the Friday and on Sunday we get the declarations for Royal Ascot on Tuesday.

It is looking like a quiet week as far as betting is concerned though I may have a major interest in the meeting at Chester on Friday. Treasure Time, the three-year-old  have a handful of shares in with the Raceshare organisation is entered in the lucky last on their card the 7½f London Essence Handicap. There are twenty-nine entered a the time of writing and with his mark of 77 he is fifteenth on the list so could get it on a nice weight all being well. The going is good at the time of writing with the chance of showers later in the week. I personally think the trip could be ideal round Chester as long as it doesn't get to heavy up there on the Roodee. He appears in fine fettle from the video I have seen of him going up Warren Hill on Friday morning and all being well he should have a big chance if running.

Be lucky
