The horse racing week ahead including the Dublin Racing Festival

It’s been a quiet start to the week for me, and not just because I was a little under the weather on Monday, a nice winner would have cheered me up but there was nothing to back!  

Looking back at the weekend it just confirms that it can be a funny old game and not backing half the ones I might have on Saturday actually did me a favour with the sole bet I placed for the weekend, Life Is Good, winning the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes at Gulfstream Park in some style!  

There are a couple of bets to be had later this week all being well and any news will of course be put up on here first. With that in mind it’s worth noting Honeysuckle, Galopin Des Champs, Chacun Pour Soi, Sir Gerhard and Blue Lord are just some of the big guns that have been confirmed at the five-day stage for the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown this weekend. Whether they all show up waits to be seen.
