The horse racing week ahead and the start of the All-Weather Championships
The week builds to the November Meeting at Cheltenham with the Grade Two
Ballymore Novices' Hurdle on the Friday and the Triumph Hurdle trial among the Graded races on the Saturday
card. There will be a few familiar faces out no doubt and I will deal with the meeting nearer the time and as ever any bets will be put up on here.
Reportedly Altior is set to have a racecourse gallop at Newbury on Tuesday week ahead of his planned return to action in the Tingle Creek at Sandown next month. It will be great to see on of my all-time favourite jumpers back on track even though there is little chance of actually being trackside!
The Turf season is of course now over, well done to Oisin Murphy who was crowned Champion Jockey for the second time, and we switch to the All-Weather for the winter months. I know it isn't everybody's cup of tea but I like it and have nicked a few quid over the years I am happy to say. The All-Weather Championships consist of over 200 fixtures incorporating all the flat races running from Tuesday 20 October 2020 to Good Friday, 2 April 2021 at Chelmsford City, Kempton Park, Lingfield Park Resort, Newcastle, Southwell and Wolverhampton plus tracks in Ireland, France and Meydan in Dubai. You can expect to read more about it over the coming months; as well naturally as the Jumps action.
No bets for me today, but a couple are planned as the week goes on so stay tuned.
Be lucky
