The horse racing week ahead

It is a slightly quieter week in the world of horse racing upcoming with the main event over the nest 7-days being Saturday's Juddmonte Irish Oaks at the Curragh. There are two other Group races at the Curragh on Saturday and two on Sunday at a decent meeting across the Irish Sea.

Here in the UK we are lacking in any real top-class action all week. Newbury and Hamilton both host Listed events on Friday, with the highlight of the weekend being the Group Three Hackwood Stakes at Newbury on Saturday; they also host a Listed race there and Newmarket has the Listed Aphrodite Fillies Stakes on Saturday as well.

There could be a bet or two to be had this week so do check back but it's not the most exciting week of horse racing you'll ever see; crazy really off the back of a weekend where there was almost too much action!

We do at least have some big race action to look forward to yet in July with the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes at Ascot on the 27th and then we have Glorious Goodwood week commencing 29th July so a quiet few days might not hurt.

Be lucky
