Sandown Thursday 25th May 2017 Brigadier Gerard Stakes Evening

After a couple of days on the sidelines but I am back just in time for the big meeting at Sandown this evening. At 6.30 they have the Listed Better Odds With Matchbook National Stakes. I liked the way Sound And Silence got up close home when scoring on debut at HQ on debut, 2nd, 5th & 9th won since. Looks sure to progress and I have the 2-1.

There can be only one bet for Triple G in the Group Three Matchbook VIP Henry II Stakes at 7.05 and that is of course Big Orange. Possibly my favourite horse in training right now he is quite simply a top class front running stayer who's won plenty for me at big prices. A very respectable third at Meydan in the G.2 Dubai Gold Cup he will be hard to beat down in class and I am all over the 5-4.

The Group Three Matchbook Brigadier Gerard Stakes at 7.35 should have seen So Mi Dar lining-up but the filly won’t be now and I am leaving the race alone now. 

The Listed Matchbook Traders Conference Heron Stakes can go to chestnut Zainhom. Third on seasonal return in the G.3 Greenham at Newbury behind two decent Godolphin colts and very much looks the type to win a race or two this year. I hope so as I have the 4-5.
