Best bet for the horse racing Tuesday 12th November at Chelmsford City

It’s that time of year when the All-Weather comes very much to the fore at Triple G Towers. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, it still has the stigma of being low quality fair with some people, but truth be told it’s pretty decent stuff these days with some good horses strutting their stuff. And more to the point, a few quid to be won!

They race on the Polytrack at Chelmsford City on Tuesday evening and one in the Irish Lotto At Totesport.com Novice Stakes at 5.45 has caught my eye.

Not 2017 Fred Winter winner Flying Tiger who runs here having been Novice Chasing last month at Newton Abbott – not sure what they think he will learn over 1m2f here. I know they run him in the G.3 Cumberland Lodge Stakes, his one run on the flat a couple of years ago, but this is surely little more than a public gallop?

The one that caught my eye is Military Band, trained by Saeed bin Suroor, who was a fair sixth in the Wood Ditton on his debut at HQ back in April and has not been seen since. He would surely be expected to prove better than this being the fifth foal of his dam making him a half-brother to winners Fantastic Moon and Strong Force as well as Cracksman. The chestnut colt is fancied to take this on his way to better things and I have taken the early doors 5-4 with Power and Betfair BPG; I know Bet365 were 5-2 but I can get about 50p on with them!

Be lucky
