Best bet for the horse racing Friday 4th October 2024

It’s a few days of international interest at Triple G Towers again with bets to be had in three different countries over the next 72-hours or so with some great horse racing ahead of us.

Best bet for the horse racing at the Belmont at the Big A meeting

Charlie Appleby has another runner out of his satellite stable at Godolphin’s historic Greentree barn in Saratoga on Friday evening across the pond at the Belmont at the Big A meeting. Beautiful Love, a filly I have tipped before, goes in the Grade Three 1m3f Waya Stakes at 8.48 our time. Following two good efforts at Meydan in February she was sent out to America where she was down the field in a 1m½f G.2 at Saratoga on her Stateside debut, where she dwelt and fly-jumped at the start. She was back to winning ways in the G.3 Fasig-Tipton Jockey Club Oaks Invitational Stakes over track and trip here last month clearly having learnt a lot from her run at Saratoga. A course and distance winner who should have more to offer yet I expect her to take this before a tilt at bigger prizes in America through autumn. Her trainer Charlie Appleby said this week “We were delighted with Beautiful Love in the Jockey Club Oaks, when she picked up well. She gained a lot of experience from the Lake Placid and was a more streetwise filly last time out. The competition looks a little stronger on this occasion, but she should be bang there again.” No-one has priced-up as of 9am so I will grab the best price about later, hopefully she'll be a fair price.  A surprise winner of the G.2 Flower Bowl Stakes at Saratoga over 1m3f on her latest outing, decent yardstick War Like Goddess second and the re-opposing Mckulick third, Idea Generation could get involved here if capable of reproducing that sort of run. Mckulick will likely be favourite despite the defeat to Idea Generation last time whilst Surprisingly is a consistent type who should be in the shake-up.
